Intensive Outpatient Program

Mental Health Counseling Program

Our intensive outaptient program (IOP) provides assistance for individuals struggling with Anxiety, Trauma, Depression, and Substance Use. Through group therapy sessions, our outpatient services equip individuals with the knowledge, tools, and self-awareness needed to effectively cope with difficult life experiences. With an expert team including clinicians trained in psychiatry, social work, clinical counseling, art therapy, chaplaincy, and pharmacy, the outpatient program is designed to offer a higher level of care to individuals who find they need more than the occasional outpatient therapy appointment.

How Does IOP Work?

The Intensive Outpatient Program utilizes a curriculum grounded in researched theories and evidenced-based techniques shown to improve symptoms of Anxiety, Trauma, Depression, and Substance Use. While the coursework is founded in Cognitive Behavioral Theory, IOP applies additional philosophies of care to best meet the individual needs of the client. Other theoretical frameworks include:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Behavioral Activation
  • Internal Family Systems
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Transtheoretical Model of Change
  • Trauma-Informed, Person-Centered Care

Anxiety Intensive Outpatient Program

9:00am - 12:00pm | Monday - Thursday

Group sessions offered in the Anxiety track are designed to help the individual overcome the often debilitating and lasting effects of anxiety. Clients learn researched and evidence-based techniques to aid in reducing the physical symptoms, avoidant behaviors, and destructive self-talk that accompany anxiety disorders.

Trauma Intensive Outpatient Program

9:00am - 12:00pm | Monday - Thursday

Group sessions offered in the Trauma track focus on the importance of maintaining safety at all times. Clients learn how to identify when their responses to strong emotions are unhelpful and harmful and practice actions that promote safety and wellbeing, such as grounding techniques, mindfulness exercises, and setting healthy boundaries.

Depression Intensive Outpatient Program

1:00pm - 4:00pm | Monday - Thursday

Group sessions offered in the Depression track assist clients in identifying both personal symptoms of depression and the behaviors that perpetuate these symptoms. Clients then learn and practice techniques that are shown to improve mood and wellbeing, including compassionate self-talk, self-advocacy, and behavioral diaries.

Substance Use Intensive Outpatient Program

1:00pm - 4:00pm | Monday - Thursday

Group sessions offered in the Substance Use track work with clients on identifying personal obstacles to making change and maintaining sobriety, equipping clients with the knowledge and tools needed to overcome these obstacles. In addition, clients learn how to better plan and prepare for actions that fall in line with their own goals and values through group topics such as Self-Care, Emotional Regulation, and Exploring Values.
